BC Cultural Diversity Association would like to invite media representatives to a press conference on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 11:00 am at the Floata Seafood Restaurant, Chinatown Plaza, 180 Keefer Street, Vancouver.
BCCDA is dedicated to promoting harmony within and between cultures in British Columbia.
BCCDA has organized Seniors Recognition events in October 2018 and 2019. In 2020, due to Covid-19, no event was held. 2020 was also the year when Asian racism was reportedly increased significantly in the major cities of British Columbia.
This press conference will be joined by representatives of several partner organizations of BCCDA, to inform about the celebration of the National Seniors Day which will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021, also at the Floata Seafood Restaurant.
The purpose of this event is to celebrate and recognize the importance of the role of seniors in our society, and their valuable contributions. Canadian veterans and seniors from culturally diverse communities will be invited, and their services will be highlighted.
Further details about the event, partner organizations, and cultural performances will be shared at the press conference.
