The President, Violet Chan, and the Board of Directors of the BC Cultural Diversity Association (BCCDA) extend their heartfelt condolences and prayers to the families of the victims of the tragic attack at the 2025 Lapu-Lapu Festival.
“We are deeply saddened by the senseless violence that has shaken the Canadian Filipino community and our city. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and all those affected by this heartbreaking event,” said President Violet Chan.
BCCDA stands in solidarity with the Canadian Filipino community and with the people of Vancouver during this incredibly difficult time. In moments of sorrow, it is more important than ever to come together, support one another, and reaffirm our shared commitment to peace, unity, and respect for all cultures.
We join the community in mourning and call for strength, compassion, and healing in the days ahead.
